Houston weather forecast: Looking forward to a warmer weekend
The upcoming work week should stay quiet with clear nights and mostly sunny days. The beginning of the week starts off chilly, but temperatures heat up into the 70s for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
A week after two tornadoes touched down in Spring and Cypress, a National Weather Service meteorologist said there is a "nonzero possibility" of more tornadoes as rainy, stormy weather moves through the area Wednesday night.
Houston weather forecast predicts a warm, drier weekend, with patchy fog at night and temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
Some storms could quickly turn severe, capable of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts of 40-60 mph, flash flooding, and even an isolated tornado.
Houstonians will wake up Tuesday to a mostly cloudy sky with temperatures on either side of 40 degrees, but with the breezy north winds, it will feel like the low 30s. A ridge of high pressure will take over with clouds decreasing through the day and temperatures climbing into the low 50s, which is about 15 degrees below our average of 68 degrees.
When the annual downtown parade starts at 9 a.m. Thursday, temperatures are expected to be in the low- to mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service.
